Delete part after cycle count

Is it possible to delete a part after it has been counted? I have to two part numbers with no transactions, but they do have Last Cycle Count dates set. My assumption was that they would delete. These parts are tied to a CCDtl record, which I’m not sure I can remove.

Once you have a quantity adjustment (which includes cost adjustments), you can’t delete the part. (among any other transactions)

There are no quantity adjustments or cost adjustments. There are no transactions at all. Just an error message: “Delete not allowed. Referenced by at least one Cycle Count Detail”

I think the concept that @Banderson is trying to remind us all is that if there is a reference in Epicor to anything (reasoncode, part, …), we will not be able to delete that thing before deleting the reference link throughout Epicor.

We had the same issue with RMA reasoncodes (ultimately we ended up doing something other than deleting in that case) and it would not let us delete codes since they were referenced in RMAs.

So Same as what @Banderson said, I would delete the cycle-count and reenter everything (if you can still do that) or maybe add a UD field and from now forever filter that part anytime you create a BAQ/query. Honestly I am not in favor of option 2, and if option 1 does not work, I would reach out to Epicor for a datafix.

once there is any type of transaction against it, nothing can be done with it. I set up an obsolete warehouse to move the part into. then if I need the same part numbering scheme I put a period after the number.
