Its just been brought to my attention that our users are all getting access to things denied by menu security settings:
"It turns out even if people don’t have access to menu items when they search, they can open the menus using the default menu items on the home screen unless they have deleted them.
Many of them are trackers, but many aren’t and not everyone should be able to run Financial aged reports, or create new entries."
Yikes.
I still haven’t figured out how to alter the default homepages, and now also need to figure out how to “cleanse” users’ existing homepages. I haven’t found the table yet where this might be stored.
Re default layouts, i found this:2023.1.4 - Homepage Default Layout or Deploying a Custom One - #33 by utaylor … it wasn’t working for me from the browser but i see it from the client. I was able to publish a layout and set it on a user here
