Well, this brings a new meaning to, “Talking to yourself”.
This sounds like part of the plot of Neal Stephenson’s FALL book and it is every bit as terrifying as to what happens there.
I’m predicting that the prevalence and perceived “intelligence” of LLMs will eventually lead to the the death of the internet as we know. You will no longer be able to distinguish fact from fiction on the internet and eventually nobody will ever believe anything they see on here again.
ummm… Are you sure we aren’t there yet?
We’re closer than I like but not quite there yet.
If you like near realistic SCIFI that hits too close to home and can put up with Mr. Stephenson’s never ending minute details it is a good book that will freak you the hell out.
Maybe we’ll just form forums on relevant topics and discuss things with people, possibly paying minimally for the privilege, instead of relying on ad-supported webspam

With an hour long commute, I’m a Audible --reader?-- and it’s on sale for $5.99. Instant buy!
Love me some audible I’m actually reading it on audible as we speak… About 10 hours into this 40 hour book… If Mr Stephenson could stop describing the dew drops on every single tree we might get some where soon
I’ve been doing Audible since it started. My library is huge…
There are a few like that - I’ve been known to hit that ‘FWD’ button a few times to speed things along.
Let’s just say the minute details of the Forthrast’s family are well embeded in my brain now. I don’t know when my birthday is, but I can probably tell you everyone’s in that damn family tree!
