Database Growth

Thank you all for your input. This group is really informative and
helpful. We have investigated your suggestions and found some things
we needed to fix. We did find the real culprit, however, and it was
when our database was backed up to install patches, etc., the old
back up files were not being deleted or overwritten. We assumed they
were. So, hopefully this will fix our issue for good. Thanks for
your quick responses.

of disk usage per month and are quickly running out of space. We
contacted Vantage support, who told us we need to turn off most of our
change logs, which we have reluctantly done. Still having the
problem. The Vantage directory is 56 GB. The live database is 1.6
GB. We have several test databases (copies of live). Has anyone else
had this problem? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried to Truncate your database?

Get Support to send you the document on Fragmented databases. It
details how to run the table analysis utility. You will be able to see
which tables are growing out of control. I thought my 200MB per month
was growing fast, 6.5 GB db size. Version 6.0.

Well if your live database is only 1.6G you should see if it's a test
database which is growing out of control -- or it may be some log files
in the Vantage directory which are not getting cleaned up. Some type of
faulty automation could be the culprit.
