Database growing too fast?

Yeah, the BI is part of transaction logging and rollback. I think it
actually stands for "before image" -- a copy of each record before
modifications that's held until the transaction is completed. It
normally works as a ring buffer, rotating through the file and reusing
space after a transaction is complete. But a poorly written program may
cause Progress to treat say a global update to a file as one big
transaction; so all the BI space and all the record locks are held
until the program finishes. Besides growing the BI, it can overflow the
lock table, another tunable thing in the Progress config.

We have been Live with Vantage for just over 5 weeks. Our database hit
the 2 GB mark last night, and crashed. Support got us back up by
enabling large file support in Progress. Is our database growing too
fast? Is there some maintenance or clean-up practices that we should
have in place to keep that size down? Not sure if 2GB is normal for
just 1 month of use.

Yes. I think there is a space between the truncate and the bi
