Awhile back I was looking into analytics. I wanted something like EDA. I looked into analytics like Power BI and Tableau, but I was under the impression that people could manipulate the database through them. Is this true? Or did I get the wrong idea?
PowerBI doesn’t update data sources.
I mean, technically, if the person developing the report knows what they’re doing and is stubborn enough to figure it out and is querying over REST and is using an access scope with write access for a readonly report, then it’s technically possible to HTTP POST. But if that happens then PowerBI isn’t the problem.
