Data Discovery Setup in 10.2.600

I am installing 10.2.600 in my test environment and the Data Discovery keeps telling me:

Installer has detected SSL/TLS vulnerability, Please review install logs for details.

Validation of Data Discovery Failed.
Fully Qualified SSL Domain Name is not a valid domain name as specified in the SSL Certificate for this server. Please enter a valid name that matches the SSL certificate installed in IIS

I went to IIS–>Server–>Server Certificates–>and am using the Domain name lsited there. I ahve also ran a command prompt, echo %COMPUTERNAME%.%USERDNSDOMAIN%, to bring up the FQDN and nothing is working.

Error says this:

Deployment of Data Discovery started.
Installation of Epicor Data Discovery Started.
ERROR: Failed to fetch token - (System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException): An error occurred while sending the request.

Do you have token authentication configured on this app server in EAC?

Yes, I do.

Are you sure you’re using the domain name or are you trying the friendly name of the SSL cert

It is a domain. It is the name I choose dot domain dot com.

Went to 10.2.600.4 and it had an SSL override, so I checked that. Everything went smooth until I got this error.

Deployment of Data Discovery Failed.
Errors:

Failed to deploy Epicor Data Discovery : Failed to back up file contents : Could not find a part of the path ‘C:\inetpub\wwwroot\Data Discovery’.
Failed to deploy Epicor Data Discovery

I do not have this folder location, it wasn’t installed. Is this something I create and it fills it??

Typically you choose the top level directory and it will create the sub directory for its install so your install path should be C:\inetpub\wwwroot

Hi Will,

I think this is a bug with the backup before EDD runs the .4 update. It has been reported and I am awaiting an update.

I updated to 10.2.600.5, removed the EDD database out of SQL, uninstalled EDD, reinstalled, and it worked.
