Data Discovery - Installer has detected SSL/TLS vulnerability

Hi,

We are trying to install the Data Discovery using Epicor 10.2.500.14 but we keep receiving the following error even if we have a valid public cert from Digicert installed matching our domain name. Anyone know the validation process done by the installer?

I will also open a support ticket but wanted to check here if anyone encounter this?

Our cert is selected on the 443 binding and also on the Epicor Server.

Validating Deployment Data.

Installer has detected SSL/TLS vulnerability, Please review install logs for details.

Validation of Data Discovery Failed.
Fully Qualified SSL Domain Name is not a valid domain name as specified in the SSL Certificate for this server. Please enter a valid name that matches the SSL certificate installed in IIS

Wildcard cert or just a FQDN cert?

I’m currently using a FQDN because the wild card cert was not working.

We use a wildcard and I know you can’t put *.yourdomain.com in the EDD config. It will complain about that. I put the FQDN in the EDD config and deploy that. I have the wildcard cert on the IIS site though. Did you try that?
