Data Collectors

We had a problem with this (4.0) early on after starting to use Data
Collection (on PCs). The suspicion form tech support at the time was that
it was related to doing labor editing at the same time as people were
clocking in/out. After awhile, as things settled down and much less labor
editing was being done the problem went away. Also there are some check
boxes for how labor is handled when more than one person is clocked into the
same job/asm/oper and whether the time is split between them.

On a few occassions, I have noticed that the total labour hours are
not the same as the total clocked in hours. The time appears to be
calculated incorrectly. Has anyone else seen this and is this a known
bug?

Good Day All

My data collection screen is too small. When you look at the Current
Activity Review box I see the employees name - shift - date - and punch in
time but the problem is that with the time it only shows 06: so I can't
tell if they punched in on time at 6:00 or late at 6:02. Is there a way to
resize the box.

I found this in the message archive... Someone else had reported the same
problem. I'm assuming you're on 5.0

Subject: RE: [Vantage] Data Collection - Employees Currently Clocked In

This is a pretty easy fix. It was caused by allowing 4 digit years to be
displayed without adding 2 digits more space to the window.

There is a startup parameter that is used by the DC module to set the
display to 2 digit years. Fix this and the minutes will return.

I looked at my notes. It looks like I edited vantage.pf and removed the
yr4def parameter from the startup command line. I think it's in the
\vantage\db directory.
