I am trying to create a dashboard for the first time and I have one query that will be used (part number, sales order info). The other information I need is based on shipping the product (box weight, pallet weight, dimensions, etc.). Has anyone ever input information into Epicor, tied it to a part number and built a dashboard so the info can be retrieved every time the part number is entered?

I was going to post the same question as Toby Boogerd. I'm in desperate need of some sample dashboards. I was working with BAQ, but don't know if I have to do that before doing the Dashboards. Also, I don't know how to get the cool graphics that show spedometer type graphs.

Does anyone have anything they can share?

I know that you uploaded the instructions for creating simple BAQs
and Dashboards, but have you actually used them. I'm finding it
extremely hard to use them. Any helpful hints that you can share????

Can you copy an existing dashboard in Vantage 8.03.05? We would like to make some changes to it but are unable to make the changes... so I thought if we could copy it we would be able to work with it.

You should be able to open the Dashboard you want to change in Developer
Mode and select Save As from the File menu. This will allow you to
rename the Dashboard and then edit it.

If you need to make changes to the BAQs, you will need to open up the
ones you wish to change in the Business Activity Query, go to Actions
and select Copy Query.

You should be able to open the Dashboard you want to change in Developer
Mode and select Save As from the File menu. This will allow you to
rename the Dashboard and then edit it.

If you need to make changes to the BAQs, you will need to open up the
ones you wish to change in the Business Activity Query, go to Actions
and select Copy Query.

Toby - Epicor created several dashboards for you. You cannot modify
them so you will have to open one and save it with an alternate name.
Then close Epicor's dashboard and open the one you just saved. Play
with that one. This same process is how I taught myself how to create

We're a new company using Vantage and we find it to be lacking in the
reports / dashboards area.

Dashboards are fairly simple. You first have to write a underlying BAQ that has the data you want to view. Then create the dashboard using the query you just did. There are online classes that will walk you through the simplest of those. It is my understanding the Tools Manual also has documentation related to BAQs and Dashboards. If that is the case, I would recommend spending the $50 and get the manual. I don't have the manual so others will be better qualified to give you a more definitive answer.

I am trying to set up a dashboard that gives me the sales history for
parts using the OR operative. I want to enter 2 part numbers and get a
result set back that includes all orders that include at least one of
the entered parameters. Does anyone know how to do this?

Not that I know of, but it would be a great idea starting something like that.

I find dashboards to be a pain - not because they are hard, but beacuse each time I save and re-open it looks different.

They take 5 minutes to set up and 30 minutes to make them stay the way they are supposed to without moving/hiding input boxes of field labels.
