Dashboard search question

You could add this to at the query level very easily instead of having it be
a dashboard prompt

Hi, I have build a new dashboard with an advanced search tracker view. The
columns in the search include need by date, ship by date and these are
dropdowns.
In the dashboard tracker view properties, the dates have condition
LessThanorEqualTo.

Is there a way to set the initial value that displays on the screen for
these date prompts? For example I would like need by date to be today + 5
days, and the ship by date to be today's date.
