Cycle Count

Yep.

As you've seen, the part selection logic in Vantage allows the selection of
parts where the onhand quantity equals zero. However, the tag generation
logic excludes parts where the onhand quantity equals zero. The suggested
workaround is "For any parts with 0 on hand (or the system calculates with 0
on hand), manually enter a tag." OK, so much for automatic selection of
parts to be counted...

Please contact Support and have your call # and user ID attached to several
enhancement request docs that address this and other cycle counting
shortcomings. You can refer to both AnswerBook page ID #2211 and call
#921792MPS (item #1). While you're at it, PLEASE support items #2 (flag
"inspection required" at part master file record level) and #3 (use
inventory UM instead of purchasing UM for minimum order quantity field in
both part maintenance and purchase order line item maintenance windows).

Regards,
Scott

Subject: [Vantage] Cycle Count

We would like to start cycle counting but there is something we don't
understand. We created our ABC codes and then calculated them. Now in Count
Entry we chose the Automatic select and limited it to 50 parts. We see our
50 parts and then generate the tags. We only get 40 tags. Do you only get
the tags for parts where the expected quantity is greater than 0?

Thanks,

Fredy Venczel
