I am setting up all the warehouse cycle count. I get to our hardware warehouse and continue on but when I get to part selection, it is grayed out. I thought it was because we had an open full inventory count but that wasn’t the case. Any help please.
I have had this problem in the past.
Do you have another cycle count group for this warehouse open? If so, cancel or post the other group.
Is the previous count posted also?
It does not show any counts are open.
When you search, did you include full physical?
you ARE allowed to have multiple cycles open, so that should not be a problem. My only thought would be that you already did the “Perform Part Selection” as this step can only be done once.
One other thing I notice is that you have specified that your cycle period is for 3 months (July, Aug & Sep), Did you know that a part can only be assigned to one CYCLE at a time? Even if you have specified that a part is supposed to be counted 12 times per year, it will only get suggested 4 times if your cycles are 3 months long.
I personally prefer the cycles to be MONTHLY cycles, and that you select parts monthly instead of quarterly. This allows you to have some items counted every month.
I do not see any open counts for that warehouse. How do I see if there is a Perform Part Selection somewhere? If one is not open, should the conclusion be that no Perform Part Selection be used anywhere?

I have no open counts that have parts selected.
