Customization Issue

Unfortunately you may need to recreate the customization(s). The only alternative is to figure out what is wrong and manually go into the XML and change it then import it.

We are upgrading to 9.05.600C from 8.03.409A and I am having trouble with all of my customizations. If I import any customization into 9.05 from 8.03 I get an application error "An item with the same key has already been added". When I click ok all of my custom controls are gone and the form has reverted back to the base form. I am not even given a chance to fix whatever error I am presented with. The code is still in the script editor but all the custom controls are gone. I have tried this with Project Entry and Purchase Entry.

Any Ideas?

I made a customization to Time Phase Inquiry, which works fine with any
of the Time Phase Inquiry that have had the customization added to them
in Menu Maintenance. Problem I am running into is under New PO
Suggestions if you click on Actions there is a Time Phase under there as
well. This one just shows the default Time Phase screen and not the one
that I customized. How can I get my customization to appear here. I have
a feeling this question was asked awhile back, but am not for certain.

I assume you're in version 8x. Each occurrence of Time Phase needs the
customization applied. So go to menu maintenance, Purchase Mgmt :
General : Time Phase Inquiry and choose your customization there as
well. Then exit and go back into Vantage to confirm.



Also, if you want to apply the right-click : Time Phase, you need to go
to System : Utilities : Content Menu Maintenance. Be sure to check the
customization mode at the top right or else your Context Menu changes
will only apply to you as if it were a personalization.

In developer mode if the customization fails the screen will revert to the non-customized version.

Try bringing your customization through the customization maintenance option under utilities. This has a verify step under actions that will help locate errors. Also in that option you can do some hand work on the control properties. Frequently the GUID of a parent control will change for your custom controls. Using the customization maintenance screen you can hand change these.
