Customization... Issue Material Transaction Log

Not a problem. I appreciate you staying in touch with this one.
Actually, I was able to get this to work, as you initially described,
with only a minor add-on. I did use the Part Transaction Log. But,
even though I was using an existing Sub-Process I still needed to
create a new Process Call (this information came from support). Once
that was done it worked like a champ.

Everybody is happy. Thanks for everything.

Vantage 8.03.406

I have customized the 'Transaction Log' found under the 'Actions' menu
of the 'Issue Material' screen. My customization was to simply "show"
3 hidden columns. This has been saved. This is were I get lost.

How do I establish this form for use? I get it when it is the main
menu item. But coming from the 'Action' menu has got me.

Thank you!
Jeff
You need to go into Sub Process Maintenance and pick your customization for
the Part Transaction Log Menu. You can create a new item in the sub process
maintenance, and then go into process calling maintenance and set that up to
call your new sub menu. Kind of messy, but it is doable. Let me know if
you have problems, and I can send you a screenshot.

Daniel... thanks. It seemed simple anough. I went into Sub Process
Maintenance and picked my customization. I logged out and back in
but do not see the change. Did I miss a step?

No you didn't. Epicor already created the Sub Process Menu so you don't
have to set up the Calling Maintenance. If there wasn't already a Sub
Process Menu, you would have to create it and then go into the Calling
Maintenance menu and set what programs would use this customization when
called. It isn't that complicated, it just isn't very intuitive. Glad you
got it working.

Ok, Sorry for the confusion. My first email was actually wrong, when I told
you to pick Part Transaction Log. I got it working on my end, so here is
what you need to do.

1. Create a customization for the part transaction history tracker.

2. Open Sub Process Maintenance form in the Utilities menu.

3. Create a new ProcessID using program Type of "Non Menu Item"

For the program put in
"C:\client803\client\Epicor.Mfg.UI.PartTranHistTracker.dll" or your location
to Epicor dll.

4. Select your customization.

5. Open Process Calling Maintenance. Click New.

6. Called Process Reference is Epicor.Mfg.UI.PartTranHistTracker and called
from can be blank and MenuID is your processID you created in step 3.

7. Close vantage and reopen, everything should be working now.
