Customization Error Ver 8.03 I

Thanks...
Tried the personalization. I can change the text, but it didn't
stick.

On the Job Entry Screen, Operation Tab, I customized the Prod Std
Hours field to have two decimal places. The default is more than I
need. I changed the properties of maskinput and text. However, when I
try to use the the customization I receive the following error:

The specified mask is not compatible with the current value of
the 'NumericType' property.

Any assistance, would be appreciated.

I have seen this error when the customization is done from a login that was
not the manager.

Have you tried changing through a personalization instaed of a
customization?

I was told long ago (a year maybe) by Support that you cannot change
those formats, even though the system makes you feel like you can.
