When I break a customization, in the code area, can I still load the layout screen to recover my work or must I start from scratch?
The code is still in there, I’m thinking about fixing that but I’m not sure if that will save over my UI customization since it loads the base screen.

Fix the code and save as a new Customization and the UI will still be there.
=)
Customization Maintenance, you can view the raw code and fix it from there. It’s a skill unto itself if you messed up some XML though, but it’s possible
