Customer Shipment issue

We ship out orders for credit card customers when the transaction is declined.

Our process in Customer Shipment Entry:

  1. On the summary tab, enter weight and dimensions of the pack
  2. Actions - Freight (F5). The shipping label gets printed
  3. Print Packing Slip. Once the print box closes, a message pops up “Is this Packing Slip ready to Ship?” We answer Yes and the system checks the Shipped box
  4. We have a credit card BPM that kicks in when the shipped box is checked. Another message pops up that shows if the transaction is approved or declines. If approved, the Shipped box is still checked. If declined, it unchecks the Shipped box and puts the pack back to Freighted status.

The issue is our shipper doesn’t notice when the transaction is decline and the pack is not shipped, and still lets the pack get picked up by our carrier. Is it possible to print the shipping labels when the shipped box is checked and not when it’s freighted? Any other suggestions to avoid this issue would be appreciated as well

I’d modify the BPM to also unfreight as well when declined, as the shipping cost could potentially change by the time the CC is approved.
