Custom Shipping Labels

I use LabelMatrix software. Designed approx 20 different labels. A VBForm field in the Customer table is where we assign which label format to use. Then shipping just executes my print button, all the shipping data is dumped to a DBF file, and LabelMatrix runtime module is executed to print x numbers of labels using the DBF file data and the label format assigned in the Customer table. This is working very well for us.

I use Report Builder (on 6.1) but intend to switch to Crystal Reports for 8.x. I print to a Zebra Z4M+ printer and treat it just like a laser printer. No special programming if using Code 39 barcodes. Code 128 is trickier but there are add-in functions available. We print about 40 different custom label formats from a regular Vantage menu tree. I am anticipating that 8.x will make the process even more flexible.
