Crystal Sales Order Form

We have successfully linked the POForm with other Vantage tables/fields via ODBC. I've heard of others doing the same thing with the Traveler in Vantage. You have to use a subreport to do so, and currently you also need to use the third-party Merant ODBC drivers rather than the SQL-92 drivers that come with Vantage. If you have the Merant drivers, or just want to know how it's done, I can give you more details. I have heard that the Error 599 with the SQL-92 drivers may be fixed in a future patch as the root problem has now been discovered. Whether the fix will be in Vantage 5.1 or 5.2 I don't know.

When you say modified custom form, did you add any new tables and did
the linking...if so...can you tell me how to modify the existing
custom report to add new tables and fields from them ??

I'm not sure if this is possible, but I wanted to check with the
experts. We have a "Standard Terms and Conditions" form that we

Does anyone else do this? Is it possible?
Add a Report footer section. Inserted the word doc as an OLE Object....
adjusting formatting if necessary. Format the footer section to have a page
break before section. Go into the printer setup inside crystal and make the
necessary adjustments to duplex print. Give it a try.

We add terms to all quotes, orders, and POs. The terms are put in the
report footer with a page break before them. I leave the report header with
the terms, so the PO number, etc. is listed with the terms. We had to
schrik the font down to 6 to allow them to fit on a page. It takes a little
tweaking to get it to fit correctly, but does work very well (on a laser
printer). It forces the purchasing agent or salesperson to include the
terms on each order. At first it used a lot of extra paper, but now since
most are e-mailed in a pdf format, it doesn't cause excess paper usage.
