Crystal Reports V9 and ODBC

I have Crystal Reports v8 installed on my XP desktop. I have no
problems connecting to Vantage through the ODBC Merant 3.5 drivers.
I have just installed Crystal V9 and cannot connect to the database.
I can see the data source name and the database name but get the "no
items found" instead of the table names. Yet I can go back to v8 and
the ODBC connections work perfectly. Any comments.
