Crystal Reports - Sorting by VBA Form Fields

Lori,
I just was doing this for the first time today myself. To get a VB Form field to show up on a Vantage Report you need to:

1. In the Forms Design screen, double-click on your new VB field, then enter a name in the "External Name" field. This 8 character name will be preceded by two more letters designating the table which contain the fields. Save the Form. This will be the field name used in Vantage reports.
2. Do a "Print Preview" of the form in Vantage that you are modifying.
3. In Crystal, do a "Database/Verify Database" and Crystal should recognize the change in one of the tables in your report. Now the field should be visible in the appropriate table and thus usable in your report.

Subject: [Vantage] Crystal Reports - Sorting by VBA Form Fields

I have created a VBA form for some information regarding a part and I want
to sort a Crystal Report by the character fields. I do not see these fields
as choices to group by. Can I not do this? We are going to base our
structure off these fields but my reporting will require this grouping. Can
anyone give me any insight on this situation?

Thank you - Lori
