Crystal Reports in Cloud Kinetic SaaS

I learned today (I think) that Crystal doesn’t work in the latest Cloud release. At least, there is no mechanism to upload .rpt files from the software.

Is it still possible though for the Cloud Operations team to do a one-time upload of .rpt files for a customer, if there was an understanding that the customer couldn’t edit the reports going forward? I feel like I’ve heard of that happening before, but I could be wrong.

Just wondering if this is a matter of the cloud Kinetic client not being technically able to run Crystal anymore, or if it’s a matter of there being no front-end mechanism in place for maintenance of Crystal reports.

You should be able to create a support ticket. Attach the Crystal file and ask them to copy it to .

Unless,they stopped doing that.

I have a couple of cloud customers that still have Crystal Reports.

Crystal is no longer a supported reporting platform within the Epicor product line. It was replaced by SSRS many years ago due to the fact that the provider of Crystal no longer wanted to work with Epicor. Even though this is the case, we have provided the ability for customers who were already using Crystal to continue using it until they were able to migrate their reports to SSRS or some other reporting platform.
I am not aware of any restrictions on the continued use of Crystal when in the cloud… that said, the clock is probably ticking on how much longer it will be available. My advice would be to migrate reports asap to SSRS, especially if you are in the cloud.
