Have you made sure that under the Advanced Setting tab on your ODBC DSN
setup dialog that the Default Isolation Level is set to "Read Uncommitted"?
If this is set to something else then it will lock your records and other
users can access the data.
Just a thought

Lori,
Is this a new problem? If it is a concurrent user problem I would look at
the properties of the ODBC group in Progress Explorer. Epicor might have
something on their website that explains the parameters.

Subject: [Vantage] Crystal Reports and ODBC
I have created several reports using Crystal Reports and have given my users
access to them through Vantage so that they are able to enter data asked by
parameters. I am having major issues with one user tying up the access to
all other users. For instance, I have created a new PO report that has added
our account number with the vendor and have compiled and distributed through
Crystal. When a user is using this report, other users are not able to
access the modified job pick list or quoting reports. I have setup ODBC on
each workstation as a system dsn. Each user logs in to Crystal with
sysprogress as the user. Do I need to create additional users through
Progress and if so, how is this done? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We rely on the Crystal Reports since we are able to export them to Word and
Excel without a lot of issues.
Thanks,
Lori
