Crystal Report - Production Detail Report (PDR)

Thanks for everybody's response.  The field was actually the supplier PO number from the InvcHead.PONum

So, I added the table in the RDD and created a link between the InvcDtl and InvcHead table, and walla!  works great.

Thanks.

I'm trying to insert the PODetail/POHeader table fields into this report.  Need a little assistance on the steps.  I'm working with the "Report Table Definitions," to try and accomplish.  I've inserted the table in the definition and it populates on the XML report in Crystal, but there's no data.  Not sure if a relationship is required in the definition that I'm missing.

Thanks.

Do you have a relationship defined for each new table?  If so, then select each table and go to the tab shown as Excluded Fields (in 8.03.409c) and move some fields that you want to include to the left side where it shows a list of Included Report Fields.

You are saying that the table/fields appear in crystal but there is no data being displayed?

In crystal in the field explorer right click the fields you added and click 'Browse Data' this will show you the data for this field, I am assuming there is data to be displayed inside the report. If it shows data in the browse data window but is not displaying in the report then you probably have an issue with the linking in your crystal report (in crystal: Database > Database Expert > Links). If you right click and browse the data and it is blank then you may have an issue with the linking in the RDD.

Hope this helps.

It also sounds like if you have groups in your report and the field you are trying to display in not in that group data, the whole document will go blank.

In the report data definition you need to create relationships with the newly added tables. What table are you wanting to link the POHeader/Detail table to? After you do this, you also need to add the table(s) to the reportdataset in crystal reports.

Thanks for all the feedback.  I've already added the table and relationships, but not sure what relationships are required to have the PONum show up on the PDR?

While in Crystal the table and all the fields show up, but there is no data.  I'm pretty sure this starts with the definition.  I've created a link between the PODetail -> JobProd Ordernum for both.

Is there another way to display the PONum if an expedite charge is issued for a job and has a PO associated with it?
JobProd.OrderNum is not a PO number, it is a sales order number.
