I have a large job needs to be completed in two companies, let’s say Company A, Company B, and this job was created in Company A.
Now one employee clocked in Company B for attendance purpose, is there any way let this employee clocked in this job without clocking himself out of Company B?
employees belong to companies… I dont believe that there is any such thing as a cross company employee… so when they clock into two companies, they are on both companies.
Also, jobs cannot cross company boundaries… a job is created inside a company, and cannot be worked on or transferred to a different company.
You need to think about a company as a completely separate entity. even though they may share the same database, they cannot see each others business. Company A & B can have different jobs, different parts, different employees, different customers.
Thanks for response, I agreed with you that was the concept I believed in epicor work process.
It is just people complaint they have to clock out the attendance first, then clock back in into another company. if they are hourly paid employee, there are some time adjustments have to be done by HR department later.
And since two companies MES station were set up in one computer, employee sometimes clocked in into wrong entity, that caused lots of complain as well. So I am curious is there any better way to capture employee time in the cross-company job, try to simplify the operation process.
