Credit Card Error on a Drop Ship

I have a credit card order that processed fine for the approval. But when I mare a drop ship as Received/Shipped the transaction fails.

First we were getting this message
The shipment was not completed because it was not fully paid. Please check the credit card transaction history and authorize any remaining balance to continue.
A Deposit was made for the Order: 667179 PNRef: — - The CRE Server is taking to long to respond. Please review t…

but I just ran it and got Transaction failed no other information.

I’ve had this happen before when there is any special character in the part description like ampersand.

No special characters. I have a call with Epicor today.
