I assume you have some knowledge of how to create a BAQ, if not youll
have to do a bit of research on that. Essentially youll want to bring
in your tables (probably jobasmbl, joboper, jobmtl) and based on the
criteria you are using to issue (I assume quantities complete, material
already issued etc) identify the candidates for issue. There is a tab
called baq search in the baq form itself. Youll want to pick the
available 'like' column that is driving the default search from the
screen you are issuing from (perhaps in this case, part number, and or
mtlseq number). Once you've made the relevant field available through
this function, when you bring up your search in the form, click on the
baq tab and you should see your baq you created. Highlight that and
click search. Weve found these types of alternate searches extremely
usefull when trying to do what you are, searching under an entirely
different criteria than what Epicor thought you should be searching
under.

I don't have to add customized searches very often. Could someone point
me in the right direction to get this accomplished. When we issue
material we usually want to be able to type in the part number for the
search instead of the mtl sequence. Is there a quick way to set up a
search so that it searches by the part in this area?
Thanks,
Travis Late
