Create a New Report Option Form

If this kind of thing is possible, would anyone like to point me in the right direction concerning how I might go about creating a completely new report option form, such as the one depicted here:

I realize that I can customize the report option form, but that’s not what I’m trying to do. I’d prefer to have something completely independent where I can simply select a date range for a specifically targeted report (definition and style), click on the print-preview button in the top menu and the report is generated.

Might anyone have any experience with this sort of approach? Might there already be documentation on something like this where I can read about it?

Why not save defaults for all the other options and then only the dates need to be specified without worrying about any other options on the selection form.

You can Customize most forms (even those print option forms) just like any other UI. Build a customization layer for it.

Although i’m not sure how to get it applied to some forms - maybe via Process Menu (under menu Maintenance) for some items - but some like Mass Print AR Invoices has it’s own regular menu item.
