Just upgraded to Epicor 10.2.700.10 and the performance is HORRIBLE so I downloaded and installed the latest Performance and Diagnostic tool and when I run the config, I get the following error
Couldn’t run rule, the user MANAGER doesn’t have global security manager flag turned on
I swear we are never going to launch, if it’s not one thing its 85 others. Can someone give me a hand on this?
Global Security Manager settings do not apply to on premise systems, it’s used for cloud environments. It’s weird that you get this error by running the PDT. Please uninstall the PDT tool and install it from the Administration Console by clicking on the Performance Diagnostic tool button.
If you still get this error, please show me the configuration settings you entered in the PDT.
I had to install the newer PDT because of this error, but I think I spotted what I possibly did wrong, reinstalling the newer version and will get back to you

OK, yeah it was fault, I was pointing at the Demo configuration,… of which of course there is no MANAGER, uggg, this has just gotten me exhausted, thank you for listening, not i have to figure out the errors haha.
Trust me I want to, but we already spent tons on one, which played hot potato with us, then they got bought out by another company, then they played hot potato with us, switched several PM’s, AM’s, etc… not a nightmare we want to go through again. Nothing against you at all, I believe you would do tons better than I am, Epicor is not my Forte but I have to learn it, if not, it is quite literally my job.
I hope you have a great weekend as well, thanks again my friend.
We had the same this Dominick. You should be able to give MANAGER Global Security Manager from the Epicor Administration Console. We kept getting an error in the EAC and Epicor ultimately had use update the User table directly.
Yes, this isn’t used for on-prem but several people have had this error and by promoting the user to GSM, it fixed the issue.
