Configurator Error after ugrade to 2024.2.4

We are seeing the following error, using Classic configurator, since we updated to 2024.2.4:

Sever Side Exception “Tableset ‘ConfigurationSequenceTableset’ table count mismatch between sender and receiver”.

This error occurs when launching one of our configurators from Sales Order Entry. Full gory error text attached. This configurator does not have any sub-configurators, which seems like what the error is indicating.

We have 1 other configurator that reports the same error when launching it’s sub-configurator.

We have a further configurator, with a sub-configurator, which is working correctly.

We have a support case opened but would appreciate any suggestions for troubleshooting.

What we have tried so far:

  1. KB0029097 - Eliminating BPMs and Customizations as the Cause of an Issue
  2. Created a new revision of the configured part, using the same configurator
  3. Created a copy of the configurator, tested the same configured part as in #2
  4. Created a copy of the configured part, tested with both configurators above

BUILDING Error on Loading.txt (7.2 KB)

First thing I would try is open the affected configurators and selecting the “Rebuild Configurator Sequence” option in the Actions menu.

If that doesn’t work, try exporting the configurator with all boxes checked, run the rebuild sequence again, then re-import but leave “Sequence” unchecked on import.

Thanks very much @kve. I had forgotten about that function.

We’re getting the same behaviour as before after completing these steps.

However, we’ll try a few more permutations of making revisions, rebuild, copy configurator, import/export, etc. to see if we can find a sequence that works.

Thanks @kve for your suggestions on fixing this one.

Support advised this has been fixed in 2024.2.8 which was released for on-prem 22-Jan-2025. This is confirmed in the Release Notes under PRB0285759.

We’ll upgrade our test environment at some point and verify. We’ve nearly converted the affected Classic configurator to Kinetic in the interim so it may be moot. I’m going to mark this as a Solution and drive on.
