Configurator and Graphics?

Mark,

I am a CC and PC site. I am very interested in the graphics being
available to outside users. I have not got to that point of my
implementation yet but will need to do that. Are you doing that?
Wouldn't mind talking to you about it if possible.

Thanks

Todd

What about users of Customer Connect who may be configuring online?
You'll
want to make sure that your graphics are available on both sides of your
firewall.

Are there many Product Configurator/CustomerConnect-Information Worker
users
out there?

Is it possible, in the Product Configurator, to bring in any graphics , say as a background screen ? Some of our products rely on graphics for quoting/application info. I know there are no 'graphic' type tools provided with the standard PC forms, I'm thinking we may have to develop VB/Windows with the needed graphics. The trick will then be passing the variable info back and forth between the Progress Configurator and the external application.

I have some example code that will display an image in an IE Window. I
can send it to you if you want.

That would be great Todd:

business email: bjackson@...
alternate email fuji36@...

If you could send it to both that would be very helpful.

Thanks

Hi,

You can use IE or a default browser to display an image or HTML Page
Process.Start("iexplorer.exe mypapge.html")

To open a new window in IE on command line, you can do this:

Process.Start("iexplorer.exe mypapge.html", "-new")

Or use the default browser

Process.Start("mypapge.html")

Hope this help...
Bill

You can use a browser window in Vantage 8.xx to select the graphics you
want based on the configuration

Gary
