Temporarily assign your SQL accessed field data to appropriate type UD fields - ideally (to minimize code) using unused UD fields in a table already available in the app you are customizing.
Set your ultragrid equal to the newly assigned UD field records.
Dependant upon the app being customized, determine a reliable event trigger to clear your SQL accessed data from the UD fields when closing a record (or list of records).
If it isn't a problem for the UD fields to retain the SQL accessed data (since it will be reupdated the next time your app opens the record), don't bother with the last step of clearing the values before closing.

Thank you for the help. I just tried it and it did not work. I think the
problem is I did not use Epicor's EpidataView as the data source. I set up a
SQL connection in the script editor and get my data from outside of Vantage.
I was hoping I can use code to do that. Any idea? Thanks again.

Go into developer mode, pull up the form, adjust the column width, open
the customization, click on the Ultra Grid, then click the Apply button

Can someone tell me how to control the column width of UltraGrid. Can I
use
code to do it? I tried
ugdOrders.Columns(0).Width = 60
It gave an error and won't work. Thanks in advance.
