Generally these are the same. It's just a text file so you can use notepad for the update, then distribute this small file to all the other PC's.

For Vantage\Vista 8.03.407c...

I'm curious to know if there is an easy way to update the client PCs after moving Vantage\Vista 8 from one server to another.

Do I just reinstall the client, or is there a config file that can be updated and copied to all PCs?

Thanks,

Matt
Update the default.mfgsys in the c:\client803\client\config folder. There are two(?) references to server name that you can change, one is the update server and the other is the data server. Generally these are the same. It's just a text file so you can use notepad for the update, then distribute this small file to all the other PC's.

You can update a config file....

in the client folder there is a config folder, in that there are .mfgsys
files, which are used by the shortcuts.

assumign you haven't made any massive changes, there are 2 spots you need to
update.

Line 13 - <AppServerURL value="AppServerDC://VantageServer:8301" />

Line 76 - <deploymentServer uri="\\VantageServer\epicor\mfgsys803" />
