Client install problems - Critical Error message

Browse to your server, and copy the "client" folder from your Epicor905
share to the location you installed the client on the workstation.

That usually fixes any problems with a client installation.

Subject: [Vantage] Client install problems - Critical Error message

I am getting an error in one client install, for Epicor 9.05.603. All other
client installs are working fine, and I can't find anything unusual about
this machine. Various details below, and I'm hoping that somebody has seen
this before and can point me in the right direction.

After the install, the normal Auto Update ran. Starting Epicor (normal
interface) gives the splash screen for a couple seconds, then says "Critical
Error" (and nothing else) and shuts down. However, the MES interface works
fine! The machine is Windows XP SP3, all windows updates installed. Other
installed software is the normal boring stuff (office etc), the same
software in use on dozens of other machines in the office where Epicor is
working fine. Tried un-install & re-install, no change in symptoms.
