Changing part cost method

Our Vantage expert here in Australia wrote a progress program which did
this automatically for 7500 parts. It took him not much more than an
hour or two.

Would not like to do it manually!

I would be getting an Epicor tech to quote to do it.

Regards
Stuart

Here's what you need to do:

Call Vantage and reference 5297MPS and Call Ticket 863051 and have them
add you to the list.

We requested a Global Inventory Revaluation tool back to 2003 to help
our Material Burden adjustment. We had to manually adjust the material
burden percentage for 5000+ parts. The tool should also do what you are
asking in case you want to change costing methods for parts.

We did this a year ago.

I have a crystal report that grouped by cost.

We changed each record one at a time.

Reversed the qty. changed the cost flag and repopulated the cost flag.

I have a procedure I can forward you, if you like. You can call me if
you
have questions.

Hi All,

I thought I would leverage the collected wisdom of this group.

Currently we use average costing on our purchased parts. There is talk
of
converting the costing method to 'standard'. For most parts, we have
parts
on-hand.

How would one go about this conversion? Has anyone done this?

Thanks,
Duane
