We are looking to change our month end dates in Epicor. I have a feeling that this will affect our reports that have the current month end? Is there an easy way to change month end without changing reports, or will we have to manually modify all reports?
We did something similar. I hope I remember the steps correctly:
- delete future fiscal periods in descending order until you get to the current one
- delete the current fiscal period
- add the new periods as you wish
- run Verify Balances with Update Balances option checked
Needless to say you should try this in the PILOT first and make sure all is 100% OK before doing it in Live. Your reports will reflect the new periods though. What we did is we split the current period into 2 - before and after the change.
