Changing customers

"The production job already has costs accrued... How would
you suggest we change the customer?"

Reduce the quantity on the original sales order to match qty shipped to date
and close. Enter a new sales order for the new customer and link to the
existing job. This works well for us.

Normally, we sell our products through reps, who then sell them to
their customers. We have a situation where the ultimate end user has fired
our rep, and now wants to buy the product from us directly (at double the
cost, BTW :-)). The production job already has costs accrued... How would
you suggest we change the customer?
Any input greatly appreciated!
