For years (since version 2.7!) we have used the Chart-Dept (xxxx-xx) format for
our chart of accounts. We are now considering adding Divisions. During our setup
years ago we set up the Division Length to be 2 numeric characters never
anticipating a need to use them. I can change the Account Format to
Chart-Dept-Div (xxxx-xx-xx) but now I'd like the Division length to be 3 numeric
characters (xxxx-xx-xxx). The catch is that once you set up your chart you
cannot go back and change the length of any of those fields. Has anyone out
there experienced and solved this dilemma or am I stuck with the 2 character
format? Yea, I know I could delete all my accounts and start over but I don't
consider that very practical. Any ideas??
