Angie,

This was a custom report that we created. We took the clock in date, shift,
clock in time and clock out time from the laborhed file and the employee ID
from the empbasic file. We then brought this file up in excel and then we
used an additional excel file and a microsoft access file to consolidate
this information and provide error checking. Once this was done we exported
the information back into excel and saved the information as a csv file and
loaded it into Ceridian. The custom report was easy, but we did put quite a
bit of time into the excel and access programs to suit our particular needs.
Essentially it was worth it to us since we pay our hourly employees on a
weekly basis.

We were with Ceridian and did download information from progress
report
builder and were able to upload it to Ceridian. We worked with
our Ceridian
rep and were able to use the import function in their source 500
product.
We loaded the information into Microsoft Excel and saved it as
a CSV. file
to upload to Ceridian.

We are in the process of rolling out Vantage 6.1 with Ceridian for
our payroll. Ceridian's Insync product only requires a file of a
specific format for importing, in order to run payroll. That file can
be generated by running a report, either through Crystal Reports or
BAQ.
The file specification can be supplied by the Ceridian rep.

So I am assuming you also have the payroll module with Vantage 6.1. If so, what is the reason for using Ceridian?

Are you using report builder to export info from the Vantage payroll module or just labor info from data collection?

Labor info from data collection. Right now we are using Report Builder
because Crystal Reports keeps giving us an error. Any help or advice
will be greatly appreciated!
