Hi All,
We have Epicor 9.05.605 with SQL Server 2008 R2 64-bit Unicode. Our company uses Epicor’s Capable To Promise functionality (instead of PO Suggestions) to generate multiple PO’s simultaneously from sales orders.
Unfortunately, Wednesday evening, one of our end-users used Capable To Promise (CTP) to create a 577 line Purchase Order that crashed and rendered Capable To Promise inoperable.
We didn’t realize it as it was that night, but the Capable To Promise ran into errors and caused the server to have all types of errors, such as server interruption. My colleagues saw this issue in the morning, and they had no choice but to stop the app servers and try to reboot the system to see if it would start normally. The system started normally, but unfortunately when someone tried to run Capable To Promise, it would freeze at that moment. They immediately called Epicor support and they were able to get it to the point where it was no longer freezing. Unfortunately, the module will not work. It looks as if it is going to work, but after running Capable To Promise, no PO is created and no lines are linked to the PO or you get a server interruption error after 10 minutes.
The error message we consistently get in event viewer is “SYSTEM ERROR: Attempt to define too many indexes for area 6 database DBI8560a09204. (40) (14675)”
Has anyone faced this issue previously?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Best regards,
