Can't select serial number when issue Mtl to a job

Hi all,
i am the first time to production the part with serial number. i am trying go through the processes. i made the main body with seairl number smoothly. Then i am stuck at the parent part assembly job. when i try issue Mtl to the job, i can’t retrieve available serialnumbers. i must make something wrong.

Could anyone point out?

i got two more question during the trying:

Can i assigned a missed serial number to another job?
like in job A, i generate 10 serial numbers, for some reason. the last two numbers don’t be used. how can i assigan the two serial number to another job?

Can the parent part use the same serial number as the child part’s?
typically, we make the main body with serial number and pack it into finsih good with package material.
can the finish goods use the same serial number as the child part’s?

i appreciate anyone input.

Short answer: type (or paste) the serial number you want into the white box at the bottom and click the Select button. You should get an error explaining the problem.

Long answer: You need to pick the right bin - and “right” is a loaded term. Yes you picked REC and there are 12 in REC, but the catch is that the PARTS might be in one location and the SERIAL NUMBERS might be in another location.

If that list is all of them,
A. They are in the SF-P bin (and not REC), and
B. The bigger problem, the status is WIP and not INVENTORY

Again, IF this is everything, something got out of whack and you may have to use Serial Number [Maintenance] to correct them to be in the bin that the qty is in (REC) and make the status INVENTORY.

But that should not be your first option.
