Cant change customer on Sales Order

No, but I will and let you know if it works.

Â
Did you try the credit memo and changing the customer on the sales order?

First time in 4 years. They wanted to keep the same sales order number because of the international paperwork that was already done on it.

We have had this happened and we did a credit memo for an advanced payment or deposit.

It basically puts in on account since there aren’t any shipments.

It is in the dropdown in AR Invoicing, credit memo for Advanced Billing or Deposit Billing.

As far as the Sales Order goes, we added a new SO with their old PO.

We also did not change the customer, we just had to change the part number on the line.

I wonder if you do the credit memo, if it would let you change the customer?

This might be something customer services wants but, how often does it happen?

Nope, but we figured it out. An advance credit was applied to it. Now we have to figure out what to do about it since our Customer Service wants to change the customer on it without creating a new Sales Order.

Has a pack already been created for it? Even if the pack hasn't been shipped, you need to remove the lines from the pack before being able to change the customer.
