Can you change the comments box in the Invoice to stay updateable after you have closed the invoice?

Hello,

I am being asked if it is possible to have the comments field stay open and updatable in the ‘Posted Invoice Update’ screen after the invoice is closed.

Any ideas or help is appreciated.

Does anybody have an idea? Any help is appreciated.

I would use memo to record internal comments about the invoice after it has been closed, as closed implies the invoice (with comments) has been sent to the customer. Changing the comments after sending could cause a dispute.

I would first find out why they want to adde comments there. The memo field is a simple option, and you could also use the customer call log
