I need some help here in understanding make-direct parts and mrp.
I have some screenshots to help you hopefully follow along.
What I am wondering is if there is some way to get time phase/mrp to ignore make direct parts but still create unfirmed jobs for the components of the make direct part so the Machining department can still have an idea of what is going to need to be ran for the upcoming months.
Stepping through the screenshots below, the 346600-80 is the make direct part. The 554061 is a component of the 346600-80 and the F554061B is a component of the 554061. What they would like to see is the job show up for the 34600-80 and 554061 when the order has actually been entered in to Epicor and the forecasted unifrmed job for the F554061.
Walking through this in my head, I would think the only way to do this would be to put the forecast at the F554061B part, but doing that for everything, sounds pretty confusing.
Thanks for any help!!
