Can I make unfirm jobs invisible in the Resource Scheduling Board

Hi ,

I am relatively new to epicor, moved into a new job position and have been learning as I go with no formal training so I am pretty inexperienced with navigating the software. I work mostly with the Resource scheduling board and recently it has become cluttered with unfirm jobs everywhere. This is due to us starting to try and run MRP as our shop has never before and we are trying to implement it. But we aren’t even close to using these job suggestions yet and make it rather annoying to work on the dashboard with UNF jobs all over the place. I have gone through and deleted them or removed them from the schedule but I would rather just not have to spend time dealing with them if that is an option. Is there anyway to turn these UNF jobs invisible for the time being, and then turn them back on when MRP is actually being utilized?

Thanks !

Hi Domenick,

First off, welcome! You’ve come to a great place to learn about Epicor. Searching past posts and asking questions of the many knowledgeable folks here has helped me many times.

I’d suggest doing the trying out and testing of MRP in a test environment that is copy of your production database until you are ready to actually use it.

Hiding the unfirm jobs in the board would likely require a significant customization, and unless you plan to use it on an ongoing basis wouldn’t be worth the time, effort, and cost.

If you are not using the job suggestions and just want the purchase suggestions, you could just use Generate Suggestions in the purchasing module until you are ready to use MRP.

Best,

Jeff
