Can EDD be published so can access from Internet ?
I’m using Epicor 10.2, has anyone know any settings that allows EDD (Epicor Data Discovery) to be accessed from the Internet ? We tried to publish as normal website (HTTPS) but it doesn’t work.
At this point no, (as far as I understand) We’ve been trying to do the same thing. You can get to the editing portion to make the views, and depending on who is trying to see the information, you could make that work. But a nice “present only” version to give to non-developers/non-poweruers… Not yet. Hopefully soon.
I don’t know why you couldn’t install the app server on Azure, AWS, or GCE with a VPN back to your data center.
The way we are currently doing this is through bezl.io which allows us to read and write Epicor data through their Azure hosted service. It can also take parameters through the URL so we are able to display customer specific Epicor data in our Salesforce environment in an iframe without having to sync any data. That is huge.
Yeah, but EDD already has all of the tools to make the charts, graphs, etc. You are saying, take the raw data out and recreate what EDD is supposed to do. That was possible before EDD.
They have all of the charting and graphing as well. You can then display and interact with this in Active Homepage just like any other web dashboard by adding a link to the website.
Here is a PoweBI dashboard as an example.
Is that power BI professional I assume?
