BPM: to verify Supplier has an email address attached from PO

I did that now as well and when I change the Contact Name, the email does not update until I hit SAVE. The BPM seems very simple, but it is still not triggering when it should.

How would I update the email address at the change of the Contact name?

I ran it through a test environment and I had to add the field to the PO Entry area so that it was visible, by default mine does not display the contact email anywhere. It would only work on new PO's or on existing PO's that had been changed.

I tried that and to me it seems that the ttPOHeader.VendorCntEmailAddress does not update.

If Tammy has an email.
Ray has an email
Malissa does not have an email
Eric does have an email.

When I can switch contacts and I choose Malissa, it wont do anything. Then I switch to Eric and it will. Then I go back to Malissa and it will pop up. Then I go to Ray and it will pop up as well.

Just seems like the table is not updating quick enough.

What we do for making sure that a field is filled in using a BPM is do a pre processing BPM on the "Update" method. We select "the specfied field of the changed row is equal to the specified expression"
The "specified field" is the field we want to make sure has data in it, the "specified expression" is set to "" . Then you can throw your error code against that.

What results are you seeing ? It does not give you a 'false' if there is nothing in the email field?

I tried that and to me it seems that the ttPOHeader.VendorCntEmailAddress does not update.

If Tammy has an email.
Ray has an email
Malissa does not have an email
Eric does have an email.

When I can switch contacts and I choose Malissa, it wont do anything. Then I switch to Eric and it will. Then I go back to Malissa and it will pop up. Then I go to Ray and it will pop up as well.

Just seems like the table is not updating quick enough.

What we do for making sure that a field is filled in using a BPM is do a pre processing BPM on the "Update" method. We select "the specfied field of the changed row is equal to the specified expression"
The "specified field" is the field we want to make sure has data in it, the "specified expression" is set to "" . Then you can throw your error code against that.

Can someone help out.

At the time of the PO, I am trying to check if there is an email associated to the Contact.

I have tried PO.Update Pre and Post as well as PO.ChangePrcConNum Pre and Post.

Seems like I am always one email behind.
