Im trying to create a couple of BPMs to stop Jobs and POs being created or suggested from Sales Orders that are on hold. Has anyone done this before that could help out my original thought for the Jobs was to put the BPM on the JobEntry.CreateJobPWB but Im having trouble with it due to the lack of data table available at that point. Probably a little out of my depth to be honest so any help would be much appreciated.
Hello Mack. I believe that simply unfirming the sales orders release should stop the demand from trickling down to a Job or a PO. My suggestion is doing a BPM on the setup of hold to change the flag to make it unfirm as well as vise versa when you take it off of hold, to firm it back up again. Going down to each job or PO creation would make this too complicated when it probably isn’t needed.
I would think a data directive on the OrderHed which can update the OrderRelease would probably be my go to. Someone on my team did this modification in our environment, so I am not 100% familiar. But if this is something that could help you out, it is worth a shot and is on the simpler side for a mod.
That sounds like a much simpler way of doing it but im still lost sorry anychance of a step by step guide?
There is a step by step guide on here for making sales orer releases ‘unfim’ by default. We recently did this and has fixed the issues we were running into!
It stops jobs being created by MRP, however suggestions do not stop but show as unfirm which is a good thing because procurent can still see there may be upcoming demamd and then conversations can happen aboit if materials need to be ordered etc.
I will find the link for you and send it over.
Very simple one to setup - must be done in classic screens as one of the options was not there for me in Kinetic.
thanks ill give this a burl and see how it goes
