BOM cost from Supplier Price List

We have a new product with a multi level bom of about a hundred parts. We have not bought many of the parts yet, but we received quotes for qty 10, 25 and 50 of those parts. We entered those quotes into Supplier Price List.

How can I get the total purchase parts cost for making 25 and 50 final products (so we can decide what batch size to commit to)?

All the bom cost reports that I know about use only inventory costs which are zero for parts not yet purchased.

I created a Quote for the top level part for quantity 10, 25 and 50 in the Qty grid, and Got Details, and looked at the resulting worksheet, but it does not get any prices from Supplier Parts List so most of the parts costs are zero.

Is there some thing else I have to do to get the prices from Supplier Price List into the Quote?

We use FIFO costing for all parts. We are currently on 9.05.702A and transitioning to 10.1.600 the next month or so.

I got an answer. The Purchase Direct checkbox on Quote Details was the key to making the Quote look at the Supplier Price List price breaks. So, I had to check it on each material line within the quote details. And because the piece part cost doesn’t roll up from lower level assemblies to upper level assemblies (that I could find), I ended up adding the subassemblies as separate lines on the quote, with their detail lines also checked as Purchase Direct. A bit tedious, but it worked for me.

I’m looking into this right now - seems like there should be an option on the BOM Cost report to use Supplier Price List instead of “last”, “average”, or “standard” costs.
